The 4.6m high ceiling gives fresh impression and sense of spaciousness while providing enough private space. The key is the 38cm gaps. There are two stairs gaps between aisle and box space in order to decrease the sense of pressure the partition gives.
It enable to expand the view and make communication easy. Deliberately installed meeting tables and whiteboard fosters the communication and collaboration. Whole office space was designed to encourage having communication and impromptu meeting.
I’m donut? / dacō Yokohama Rinko Park
An Open Bakery Cafe in Harmony with Sea and Greenery
Architect Taiju Yamashita designed the mixed-use complex YOKOHAMA TIMBER WHARF. On its first floor, DRAFT designed the new store interiors for two openings: I’m donut? and dacō. These include the wildly popular fresh donut specialty shop I’m donut?, a key player in Japan’s ongoing donut boom, and dacō, the sister brand of the Fukuoka-born bakery AMAM DACOTAN. As the largest permanent store opening since the brands’ launch, this project called for a spatial experience that could only be achieved in its unique location, alongside the lush, nature-filled waterfront of Yokohama’s Rinko Park.
