Designs for the Next Forty Years
Since 1973, OSAKA KOKUSAI BUILDING had been offering high quality working environment as the first skyscraper in Osaka, Japan. DRAFT took part in its refurbishment project and designed the entrance hall, the exterior of ground floor, and signs such as the building logo and display signs.

The design aimed at enhancing the aesthetics of the building, and generating more value by applying these two concepts: coexist with nature; and coexist with aging. Wrapping walls with natural materials such as Japanese Cryptomeria and stone tiles that aging gracefully. This renovation project have laid the foundation for next 40 years.
