Bringing the Comfort of a Garden into Your “Workplace”

On the 49th floor of a building right in the center of Shinjuku is “+OURS Shinjuku”, a new shared office space developed by the real estate company Tokyo Tatemono.

The client came to us and said, “We want an office where everyone can feel like ‘This is where I belong’”, and so we created the concept centered on the idea of a “workplace designed with the charm of being in a garden” and created a space surrounded by refreshing greenery.

An office space where the users can feel comfortablewhile working.

Spreading out just past the front desk is the co-working space. We designed a colorful combination of sofas and counter spaces that were as varied as the individuals and groups that would be using it. Plants were arranged all around the space, helping to clean the air, and providing a space for people to naturally interact.

The areas in the back can accommodate offices with 1-16 workers. We aimed to design a space where workers can focus in a calm environment, so we used simple black and wooden color schemes and materials. In addition, we also created conference rooms and single person booths that they can use. Once plush green plants were added to the comfortable work environment, it became an office space where the users can feel comfortable while working.

W22 – Low cabinet

New Texture and Pleasant Sensation

A cabinet is essential equipment for every office, but it is not being used as actively as it should be in the current office scene. However, an office almost always has such a cabinet. This low cabinet has a presence achieved by adding a frame to the office furniture.
