“YOKOHAMA TIMBER WHARF” Opening on Friday, October 17, 2025 Film Viewing Event to be Held for 3 Days at Rinko Park!
~ Popular Stores Make Their First Entry into the Yokohama Area ~
DRAFT is leading the project development and operations of a new mixed-use facility located in Rinko Park, the largest green space within Yokohama’s Minato Mirai 21 District. The facility, officially named “YOKOHAMA TIMBER WHARF,” is scheduled to open on Friday, October 17, 2025. The architectural design is led by architect and designer Taiju Yamashita, founder of Taiju Yamashita Design and Architecture, who envisions a landmark that blends seamlessly with the scenic views of Yokohama Port from Rinko Park.
To celebrate its grand opening, a three-day outdoor film viewing event will be held from October 17 (Fri) to 19 (Sun), 2025.
Opening Commemorative Event: Film Viewing (Oct 17–19, 2025)
To mark the opening, a Film Viewing Event will be held from Friday, October 17 to Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Rinko Park.As a new cultural hub in Yokohama—a city rich in art and culture—the opening will be celebrated with a special outdoor screening of films selected by prominent figures in art and culture.In addition to a film lineup enjoyable for both adults and children, the venue will feature food, drinks, and limited-edition goods available for purchase. Visitors can experience a unique three-day occasion, enjoying cinema against the backdrop of the dynamic architecture, accompanied by the refreshing autumn breeze.Details on film titles and the screening schedule will be announced via the official YOKOHAMA TIMBER WHARF website and Instagram.
Moving forward, Yokohama Timber Wharf will host a variety of events year-round, fostering vibrant experiences and cultural engagement. This film viewing event will mark the beginning of these activities.
Film Selectors
Creative leaders across diverse fields—architecture, music, animation, literature, and gastronomy—will serve as selectors, curating films that bring joy, inspiration, and enrichment to people’s lives. The selectors include architect Taiki Yamashita, designer of Yokohama Timber Wharf; artist Crystal Kay; book director Masataka Haba; Ryota Hirako, owner chef of peace put Co., Ltd. ; and animation director Abel Gongora of Science SARU Inc.

Yokohama’s First Locations for “Iʼm donut?” & “dacō” Open at Yokohama Timber Wharf
On Friday, October 17, 2025, two much-talked-about brands by owner-chef Ryota Hirako will open simultaneously on the first floor of Yokohama Timber Wharf: the specialty fresh donut shop “Iʼm donut?” and the popular bakery café “dacō.”This will mark the first-ever Yokohama locations for both stores. Designed as an open and welcoming space that harmonizes with the relaxing atmosphere of Rinko Park, the shops feature an open kitchen where freshly made items are served throughout the day.In addition to their signature menu items already beloved at existing stores, the Yokohama Rinko Park branch will introduce exclusive products developed specifically for this location, including dog-friendly cookies. Guests can also enjoy a pet-friendly terrace café space, offering the chance to relax while taking in the park’s natural surroundings.Takeout is also available, making it easy to enjoy a donut and drink while strolling through the park or having a picnic on the lawn. Visitors are invited to stop by during the three-day Film Viewing event held to celebrate the grand opening.

The first restaurant by CRAZY Inc., based on the concept of an “Immersive Table.” Guests will experience dining that integrates cuisine, space, and performance. In addition to a fully-reservation-based fine dining restaurant, the venue will also host restaurant weddings, offering unforgettable moments for a variety of occasions.

Outdoor Recreation Support Facilities
Yokohama Timber Wharf will also feature facilities to support outdoor activities such as running and walking in Rinko Park. Amenities will include lockers for storing belongings and changing rooms for before and after activities, ensuring a more comfortable park experience.
